In the afternoon Visit Sintra a favorite Summer Residence of the Portuguese kings where you will visit the Royal Palace. Return to Lisbon by the coastal road stopping at the renowned seaside resorts Cascais & Estoril.

Drive northwards along the Tagus valley up to Almourol, a fairy tale castle erected on a small islet in the middle of the river course. Proceed to Tomar, the ancient headquarters of the Templars Knights in Portugal. After the visit of this major monument (Unesco heritage) Continue to Fátima for a brief visit of this Marian shrine. Free time for lunch on your own.

In the afternoon we shall be crossing a hilly region covered with groves of olive trees and cork trees till we’ll reach Marvão, a stunning hilltop castle, like an eagle’s nest watching the perilous Spanish border.

The day will end at Castelo de Vide, another medieval small town that has kept its charming white-washed houses, an old Synagogue and marble street fountains.

A day packed with history: to begin with Elvas and visit the impressive fortress (UNESCO Heritage) . Then Vila Viçosa to visit the Palace of the Dukes – former Hunting Residence of the last Portuguese kings where the queen’s private apartments are kept just like she left them in 1908.

In the afternoon we’ll take you some 5.000 years back in time to contemplate a surprisingly phallic menhir standing there challenging time and men.

Before the day is over let yourself be charmed by the quaint streets and dazzling white houses of medieval Monsaraz

Dinner and overnight will be in Évora,

Évora, classified by UNESCO as World Heritage, will undoubtedly be one of the highest points of this trip. Your guide will lead through old silent streets and lively plazas – visit of the gothic Cathedral, the Roman Temple and the church of S. Francisco with its awesome Bone Chapel

Lunch on your own

In the afternoon drive on southwards to your selected hotel in a seaside resort in the Algarve for dinner and overnight

Full day tour along the coast visiting Lagos and Sagres, the place from where the caravels of Prince Henry departed to discover the unknown world in the 13th and 14th centuries. Lunch in a restaurant in Sagres.

In the afternoon visit of Praia da Rocha and Albufeira.

Enjoy this morning relaxing by your hotel swimming-pool or dive in the calm blue Atlantic

Lunch on your own . Around 2Pm drive northwards. But before arrival at Lisbon, cross the National Park of Arrábida .

Arrival in the capital around 6:30 PM and refresh in your hotel to get ready to go out for dinner in a Typical restaurant where you can listen to fado ( UNESCO World Immaterial Heritage). Overnight at Hotel.

After breakfast transfer to Lisbon Airport. Assistance on departure
